PHILOSOPHY OF LEARNING
Each child is viewed as a unique person with an individual pattern and timing of growth and development. The curriculum and adult interactions are responsive to individual differences in ability and interests.
Different levels of ability, development, and learning styles are expected, accepted and used to design appropriate activities which assist children to develop self-control, negotiation skills and strategies for coping with change.
Interactions and activities are designed to empower children to become capable competent learners and decision makers.
We view our centres as an extension of the home, where children learn and feel a sense of wellbeing and belonging, where connecting links with the family and the wider world are affirmed. |
