Meet Our Staff

Carol Amiri – Manager

Hello, I have been at The Cottage since July 2010 however I have been employed by the owners of The Cottage for the past 10 years working at their other centre. I'm a fully registered teacher (Diploma  in Teaching ECE) with comprehensive first aid certification and also child first aid certification. I am a mother of 2. I have been involved in children’s learning and development for 18 years. I love interacting with children and being a part of their early education. I believe that children, parents and teachers all play a role in early childhood education.

Nickie Waerea- Qualified Teacher

Hi, my name is Nickie and I hold a Bachelor in Teaching ECE and I’m Fully Registered.  I have been in childcare since 2000.  I am a mother of two beautiful children, one that is school age and the other is with me here at The Cottage.  I joined The Cottage Educare team in November 2011 as their philosophy towards the care and education of children reflected by own personal teaching philosophy.  I am passionate about working with children and find it a rewarding and inspiring career.
